Warwick GrigorExecutive ChairmanBiography » Warwick is a BGF founding partner and shareholder with over 25 years experience in financial markets and stockbroking. He manages the Sydney office of BGF Equities and is Research Director. In 1991 Warwick established Far East Capital, a research-based investment bank specialising in emerging mining companies. Warwick was senior gold analyst at County Natwest (Sydney) 1986–1991 where he was voted ‘Best Mining Analyst’ three years in a row by the Register of Australian Mining and was consistently rated among the sector’s best.
Marcus FreemanManaging Director & CEOBiography » Marcus has in excess of seventeen years in the financial markets and was appointed Managing Director of BGF Equities in 2010. Marcus co-founded BGF Equities in 2007 and is responsible for the equities business at BGF. Prior to establishing BGF Equities, Marcus was an equities dealer at Bell Potter Securities for a period covering eight years. Prior to joining Bell Potter Marcus worked in the London branches of Rabobank and Deutsche Bank over a three year period. Prior to relocating to the UK Marcus was employed by Price Waterhouse, Chartered Accountants in Melbourne. As Managing Director and Head of Equities Marcus’ roles are varied but centre around the development of the equities business and maintaining relationships with listed companies under BGF’s research coverage.
David BarlowCOO and CFOBiography » David has more than 15 years experience in the financial services industry and other service related businesses. David was a former institutional equities analyst with Merrill Lynch, where he covered a range of sectors including small caps, diversified resources, telecommunications and technology. Most recently, David founded a public offer superannuation fund and took it from idea through setup, growth and finally sale of the business in February 2007 to a funds management company. In September 2007 David co-founded BGF Equities. David has extensive research experience and close relationships with many ASX listed companies.
Paul ReynoldsPresident and CEO, Canaccord Financial Inc.Biography » Paul Reynolds was named as President of Canaccord Financial Inc. in August 2006 and CEO in August 2007 and remains very active in the company’s investment banking operations. He leads the firm from Canaccord's Toronto office.
Mr. Reynolds has over 20 years of experience in the securities industry, beginning as a floor trader. He joined Canaccord in 1985, working as an Investment Advisor in Vancouver. Mr. Reynolds specialized in financing emerging and developing companies in the resource, technology and biotechnology sectors.
Between 1999 and 2008, he managed Canaccord's London, England office as President and COO of European operations. Mr. Reynolds has been integral to the development of our business in Europe and a primary contributor to our successful position as an active participant in the European equity markets, specializing in small to medium-sized emerging companies.
Brad KotushEVP and Chief Financial Officer, Canaccord Financial Inc. Biography » Brad Kotush is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Canaccord Financial Inc. He is responsible for overseeing Canaccord's financial activities, administration, and operations.
Mr. Kotush joined Canaccord in 1998 after having gained experience at KPMG and a local investment dealer, where he was Chief Financial Officer. Beginning as Vice President of Special Projects with Canaccord’s Canadian operations, Mr. Kotush rapidly grew his contribution, serving as CFO and Corporate Secretary for Canaccord Genuity Limited (UK) and Chief Information Officer and SVP Finance for Canaccord Genuity Corp. (Canada). A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Kotush received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.
Terrance A. LyonsLead Independent Director, Canaccord Financial Inc. Biography » Mr. Lyons has over 25 years of experience in the development and management of natural resource, manufacturing, real estate and merchant banking companies. He is currently Chairman of Northgate Minerals Corporation and a director of several private companies. In 1986, he became Senior Vice President of Versatile Corporation and presided over the restructuring of the corporation, which is now known as B.C. Pacific Capital Corporation, a senior merchant and investment banking company, which is part of Brookfield Asset Management. In 2004 Mr. Lyons retired from Brookfield Asset Management to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Lyons has been active in Junior Achievement, the United Way, Special Olympics and other charitable and sports organizations.
